What you send us
The quote form asks for your name, phone number, email address, job postcode, chosen service and job details. You can request regular visits and optionally attach up to three JPEG, PNG or WebP photographs, each up to 2 MB. Please avoid faces, identity documents, payment details and other sensitive information. Required fields let us assess and answer the enquiry; without them we may be unable to respond usefully.
Why we use it
We use enquiries and relevant photographs to assess the work, prepare an estimate, arrange agreed visits and communicate with you. For an individual requesting work, this is processing needed to take steps towards, or perform, a contract. For business contacts and general queries we rely on legitimate interests in responding and organising work. We also use necessary records to meet legal obligations and deal with complaints or legal claims.
Protecting the form
Cloudflare Turnstile checks requests for abuse. It processes browser, device and network information to distinguish genuine use from automated traffic. Our receiver also uses a hidden form field, a short-lived signed token, rate limiting and checks on attachments. These measures support our legitimate interests in protecting the service and keeping enquiry handling usable. The booking decision is made by people, not a solely automated decision with legal effects.
Where an enquiry goes
Hostinger provides this website hosting and the email transport used by the form. Accepted enquiries are sent to the business enquiry mailbox, currently hosted by Google/Gmail. Photographs are checked and re-encoded before being attached when the configured image-processing facilities are available; an unsupported or failed upload is not treated as a successful send. Attachments are not published in a public gallery by the enquiry form. Service providers process relevant data to deliver hosting, security and email.
Optional Google Maps
A map is paused until you choose Load Google Map. Loading it connects your browser to Google, which may process IP address, browser details and cookies. This optional use is based on your choice to load it. You can remove the map and withdraw permission on that page; this cannot erase data already received or cookies already set by Google. The separate View on Google Maps link opens Google under its own privacy information.
How long information is kept
Enquiry information is kept while the request and any agreed work are handled, then only for necessary follow-up, applicable record-keeping, complaints or legal claims. Relevance, the relationship, legal duties and unresolved issues determine the retention period; unnecessary material should be removed when those needs end. Temporary uploads are removed after processing. Security rate-limit and token state are short-lived technical records, separate from mailbox copies. Contact us to ask about a particular record.
Overseas processing and security
Hostinger, Cloudflare and Google may use international infrastructure. We do not claim that every copy stays in the UK. Contact us for information about applicable provider arrangements and transfer safeguards. Access should be limited to those handling the enquiry or business records. Do not send sensitive documents through the quote form.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for an optional feature. Some information may need to be retained for legal reasons. Email info@lookdevisservices.uk with the request; we may ask for proportionate information to establish who is asking.
Complaints and marketing
Contact us if something is wrong. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/. Newsletter subscription is not offered in this build, and submitting an enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Photographs are not permission to use them in advertising.
